A Rainy Day
A
rainy day is a day when it rains for a long hours. Sometimes it rains cats and
dogs and sometimes it drizzles. A rainy day looks dull and gloomy. The sky is
overcast with thick clouds. On a rainy day man cannot go out for normal
activities. Those who have urgent works, go with umbrella over the head, shoes
in hand and clothes folded up to knee. The poor people and day laborers become
jobless. So they cannot earn their livelihood. Water stands on roads and roads
become muddy and slippery. School going boys and girls enjoy a rainy day
because they do not go to school. Even if a few go to school, classes are not
held. So they pass the day by gossiping. The rich also enjoy the day. They eat
delicious items of food and pass the day sitting before a television set. On a
whole, a rainy day is not unmixed blessing.
